Due to broadband Internet connections, TV and traditional stations are becoming less popular and soon, they will be obsolete. There are plenty of TV and radio stations that broadcast over the Internet, but you need to find their web sites first and you may have to search through countless pages to find the live stream. If you are looking for an easier solution, you can try Internet TV Player. Its library includes over 800 free TV channels, as well as countless radio stations from around the world.

It will not take long to install the software on your computer and you can use it on any Windows version, from Win 98 to Win 7. The system requirements are not high, but you will need Windows Media Player 9 and RealPlayer 6 (or later versions) to access and view the available channels successfully.

There is not much to say about Internet TV Player's functionality. The idea behind this application is very simple: just double click a station's name and the streamed video will start playing in the central area of the interface. The stations are very well organized, in a tree menu, on the left side of the window.

TV and radio stations are grouped separately, according to their countries of origin. There is a very large number of stations available. You have to scroll a long way, just to go through the listed countries, but you may select different filters, beneath the tree menu. Depending on what filters you choose, the software will display only TV or radio stations, with certain bandwidths, from specific countries.

It is also possible to mark stations as favorites, so you can find them much faster, in a different group. Before playing a station, you may choose to play it with the RealPlayer or Windows Media player decoder.

Pros

You can find a huge number of stations. They are neatly organized by radio or TV stations and by their countries. The software lets you filter the available stations and add them to a Favorites group, so you can find them faster.

Cons

Some of the available stations do not work. Internet TV Player gives you access to a vast range of free Internet TV and radio stations, sparing you from searching through countless sites and pages.
